Do other wives feel as inadequate as I sometimes feel?

Danielle discovered her husband stimulating himself less than three months after their wedding.  He confessed to her that he had practiced masturbation prior to their marriage.   She believed that once they were united, this type of thing would not be a problem.  “The first seeds of feeling that I was inadequate, that I couldn’t satisfy his needs, were planted that day.  I was young and naïve.  I had no idea that pornography was fueling his sinful actions.  I didn’t realize that what I was seeing was just the tip of a very large iceberg.”

Sexual impurity is a spiritual issue and must be handled in a godly way.  A wife’s feelings of inadequacy are common because the enemy wants to create doubt and destroy marriages.  If he can make wives feel like they are sexually deficient, not thin enough, improperly shaped, or otherwise unfit, then he can easily divide a couple that is dealing with this issue.

God has created both of you and you have been joined in Christ for your marriage.  Let Him be sufficient in leading you to resolve this issue together.
